    It's weightless so it should do that. If not try releasing your cast lower so it flies more horizontally as opposed to hitting the water diagonally.

      Cast to a spot 5 feet above the water then follow your fly down with your rod tip. It's 10-2-10-follow down.

      If you want to get fancy bend your fly line up on the cast so your fly lands first.

        When you bring your line forward on your cast, stop the rod tip. Then slowly bring the rod tip down.

          You want to land it soft. Fly fishing it kindof tough to get the hang of.
