    Buckshot,

I'm sure the bass are not post spawn but more likely pre spawn. I took a short 2 hour trip in my canoe tonight and passed a couple fisherman. Both were fishing 4 inch watermelon worm and both say they had slammed them tonight. One guy had a largemouth that was well over 5 lbs. Maybe over over 6 lb.

It was South Central Ohio. I hope it helps and good luck!

i have a fishing tournament this weekend in southeastern ohio, ill be fishing out of a float tube with spinning rod combo. ponds/lakes are deep strip mines. any tips on determining whether fish are prespawn, post spawn, and then how should i fish the bass from there?
