take it to a gander moutain or another place like bass pro shops so you can have a pro fix it like new

I would just add another tip to the rod, quick and easy fix that will only cost you a few bucks.

I repair rods all the time and they will be a little shorter, but the cost won't kill you like taking it to a tackle repair shop.

Normally, in the summer, propane will get down close to $1/gal.
