I like Shimano. Their magnetic break are easy to adjust. The new models have a hindged side covers so you can't drop them in the water. With a little lube (I prefer Quantum Hot Sauce) they will cast forever. Variable retreive ratios are available, I use 7.0 to one for saltwater fishing and 5.0 to one for bass fishing. Acadamey sports sell repair kits for most of these. Price is premium but all you need is one.

Shimano as well. The reason is that the first baitcasting reel i had was a shimano and i still use that same reel to this day. I have had a bunch of Abu's but i dont like them at all.

Like everyone else, I am going to have to go with Shimano. Great durability and have no problems that I have noticed so far.
