I prefer the black/silver worm, the Augertail, followed closely by the Rebel Popper!
The Popper gets the bluegil excited, and then I drop a worm nearby, gets 'em every time!

I have a lot of luck on Wisconsin lakes using top water plugs at night. Hula poppers, skitter pops, even zara spooks.

Any Purple (or purplish colored) rubber worm. It is my go to on any small pond/lake. Fish it fast, slow, with a weight without a weight, it doesn't matter. I feel its a good locator lure and with it being rigged weedless and the inexpensiveness of it one should really not hesitate to throw this thing into some gnarly spots. To spice it up alottle in lowlight conditions or murky water throw a rattle in there.

With out any lake info available I can offer some general starting points.
Gitzit (Original Tube Bait) in White or Pearl
7" Berkley Power Worm in Purple or Black with or with out a weight
Zoom Super Fluke in White or Bubble Gum
White Spinner Bait (white is good color in spring)
Mann's Baby Minus 1 Tennesse Shad
I can fit all of these in my pockets and catch fish all day long, although what works for me it may not work for you but give it a shot.
Good luck and have fun!

by MattM37Can't fault a politician working to preserve 2A rights, but repealing Pittman-Robertson for the cause seems counterintuitive.
