We absolutely slayed them in AK with a large Rapala plug in silver. You want a big one. The larger the plug the larger the pike that will hit it. There are some pics in my photo files. Unfortunately all the pics I had of our best fish came out blurry. I had a lady take them so I could be in the pic and she screwed them up.

Del's suggestion is a good one, seems people forget to use big minnow plugs on pike. I have two in the same chartreuse with neon orange pattern that are all sorts of chewed up from their teeth. Daredevle or similar spoons are great. Swimbaits and big soft plastic jerkbaits should work well too. Large spinnerbaits and buzzbaits will also get some good hits. Topwater works well too, especially in the early spring or fall or at night anytime.
