      Haha. Nice answer. I usually call bluegill, bream and other people call bream, bluegill. To my understanding, Panfish or bream is a colletive form of the various types of sunfish. Bluegill is a species of bream. Just like there are flyers, redear sunfish(shellcracker), redbreasted sunfish, green sunfish, and warmouth to name a few.

                Mostly Reigon the Southern' boys call um' a bream but up north we call um' bluegill
